The Darling Dish
January 2026
January Things
As I am writing this, I am watching snow fall outside my window. In south Georgia. WILD.
It tracks honestly because this month has been so weird, why not add a random snow day on a weekend at the end of the month?! B was very excited because she asked Santa for snow and I told her that Santa does not control the weather unfortunately. Guess he proved me wrong again.
This past week at school, I met with the classroom teachers to discuss our students and I love sharing snacks. This month, I put out some Valentine treats where they could make their own snack mix. This is a great idea if you need something quick or even if you want to make a little mix for your kids or students.
Last year, I began and completed my 100 reads of 2026 with fantasy books. This year, I decided to start the year with the books I had been saving from Sarah Adams, the Rome Series. I loved spending time in Rome, Kentucky so much that I decided to create a #datewithabook. Each month, I plan on taking on a date that coincides with a book that I am reading or have read in the past. I shared the first one on my Instagram today, so if you haven’t seen it, you should go tell me your thoughts. I would love to have a suggestion for next month!
Currently, I am finishing up Spencer Pratt’s new book. I was gifted this one from Gallery Books and I have loved learning all about the behind the scenes of The Hills.
We LOVE Hanna Anderson pajamas in this house. I love them and that is basically all B wants to wear. They are so comfy and the patterns and graphics are adorable. I found these cats doing gymnastics on these jammies and they will be purchased for a special someone who is turning 7 in the next few months.
My current obsessions: This Crown Affair dry shampoo is ELITE. It is not cheap but it lasts for forever AND you can buy refills instead of new ones. My hair doesn’t get all junky, the smell is amazing, and no other dry shampoo compares. Believe me, I have tried them all.
I grabbed this sweater from Target because I love the colors and hearts. It is so cute and perfect for February.

I was a little worried to try a new creamer, but this Chocolate Covered Strawberry one legit tastes just like a chocolate covered strawberry. It is insane and so yummy. Don’t mind the 100’s chart or the chipped nails. All things a 40 something momfluencer has in her house.
This mug. THIS MUG. Guys, I had to have it. I haven’t bought a mug from Anthro in a year or so, so it was time. It is the perfect Valentine to myself. It is a great size and completely adorable. You also deserve it, go ahead, you know you want it.
SHOP MY
I have been working really hard organizing all of my books, favorite finds, bookish goodies, and things Bellamy and I love on my SHOP MY account. Everything on there is something I actually use, have purchased, or love and are saving up for. (looking at you, you beautiful art piece, you.) Feel free to browse my shop, ask me questions if you need a link, or if you’re in a place where you want to set up your own shop, you can use my referral link here to join! It has been such an amazing organizational tool for me to have one space for book recs, home decor, and even toys for B that you all ask for. Every link click helps and just know when you purchase from any link I share, it truly helps.
As always, thank you for being here. It truly is an honor to have you as one of my Darling Friends. I’ll be back at the end of February with another Darling Dish!
Until then Darlings,
Erin
